Jim Ray meet me here at the shop for a day of wade fishing on the S. Holston River. After putting all our gear here in the shop we headed down to the river. A cold front had come through and the weather was cold Tuesday morning. So we started down the river to see if the fish were hitting in the morning. The fishing was a little slow to start out with, but as the sun warmed things up a little the fish started feeding. Jim caught a nice Rainbow out of the first run, and as we worked our way up stream we hooked several more trout. We stopped for lunch, and after a great hot meal at Web’s Store. We headed upstream to see if we could find a BWO hatch. After a good afternoon of fishing we decided to see if we could not find a big fish feeding. We could not get one to hit so we called it a day around dark.

Jim and I had a great time fishing even though it was cold.
