Sam Long and his son Bryan came up from Chapel Hill, NC to fish the S. Holston with me. They were wanting to float so we put the boat in when they got here and we started out fishing nymph rigs. We were getting alot of hits and catching a few of them. Most of the fish were hitting the Midge that I had on a nymph. As we headed downstream through the runs we were able to hook up on a few more fish. We got downstream and ate lunch. After lunch we switch over to throwing some streamers in the deeper water. We were able to catch a good number of fish on the streamer, and had alot of good fish come out after the streamers. I had to work on Bryan’s cast, and he got it down pretty good. Sam did catch one nice Brown around 16″ and we hooked into a couple more that was that big or bigger. Both Sam and Bryan were getting tired, and we made it to the truck around 6pm an called it a day.

It was a great day on the water, and I really enjoy fishing with Sam and Bryan.
