It’s a great time to come fish! This is the best hatch we have seen in the last 5+ years. Bugs are coming off 1:00-5:00 on upper section and spinners till dark.  All CDC patterns are working great #16 Sparkle Dun and Puff Daddy being top pics. The morning bite around Osceola Island and Grates is really good. Large quantities of rainbow are being caught on Stripper Midge #20-22 and Split case 18-20. Terrestrial bite has started on middle and lower sections with peak season the next 3 weeks. Fathead and Japanese Beetle #12 are working.

The Watauga River is generating 8-6 and fishing is good. Bounce Rigs, Heavy jigs and Chubby Chernobyl #16 are catching fish. Several late hatches from Hunter to Boat Shop with a mix of Sulphur and Bwo #16-18 Puff Daddy will catch fish.

Our guides are primarily fishing South Holston and taking advantage the dry fly fishing. We still have some top dates available in July and August. This is a great opportunity to dry fly fish all day!
