The South Holston continues a great schedule for wade and afternoon float fisherman. Fishing is slow around Osceola due to heavy pressure. A long Dry Dropper a with small midge is the best option.  #16-18 Parachute Sulphur with #20 Sweet Thing or Scooter Midge is ideal. English Pheasant Tail and Soft hackles #18-20 are working in shallow water. We are seeing a good Sulphur hatch on upper 1:30-4:00. Double dry fly rigs #16-18 Puff Daddy and Sparkle Dun is the most effective. Terrestrials are working on middle and lower river #10-12 Mikes Magic & Top Hat are top pick. #16 Black Chubby is a great option for multiple flies. We are seeing heavy spinner fall when there is no generation 8:00 to dark. Summer is our favorite time to mouse fish, we have four patterns in stock.

Watauga will be running Recreation flow till the end of summer. This is good for morning wade and afternoon float. Upper and middle river is fishing really good. Light Sulphur hatch at Stoney creek to Hunter mid-morning. #16 Comparadun and small Split case #18 Sulphur and Bwo are working. Middle is fishing good with #14-18 Frenchie Jig, Pheasant Tail and Hot Spot patterns. There is a good mix of Sulphur and Bwo on the surface at Lovers Lane after 5:00. Beetle fishing is good on lower river, fish are being very selective so vary your size and color.
